Apple Computer is one of the companies I admire, as CEO Steve Jobs is a graduate of my old high school in Cupertino, California.

But unfortunately, almost all the personal computers I use for work is Windows based. Another tragedy is last year's shortage of iPod Minis when I really wanted to buy a hard disk music player. I now own a Sony Hard Disk Walkman, and my personal mobile phone manufactured by Sony Ericsson uses the same format to play music, making it harder to transfer to an iPod=Mac environment.

One day, I wish to own a Mac and an iPod gadget, but without an apartment with a larger room and flexibility in the Windows=Mac OS transition, it's really hard to maintain a double OS environment.

Well, at least I'm happy my sister works for Apple, and one day I could meet a Macintosh that could be an hilarious experience just like meeting a girl of a lifetime, as I long for a chance to "think different".

アップル・コンピューターは敬服する企業の一つだ。ＣＥＯのスティーブ・ジョブスはカリフォルニア州のクパティーノにある俺の母校の卒業生だ。

残念ながら、仕事で使うパソコンのほとんどすべてがウインドウズ・ベースだ。さらに悲劇なのは、去年、ハードディスクの音楽プレーヤーが本当に欲しかった ときにiPod Miniが品薄だったことだ。今持ってるのはソニーのハードディスクウォークマンで、ソニー・エリクソン製の個人用の携帯電話も音楽再生には、同じフォー マットを使っていて、iPod＝マックの環境に移行するのをさらに難しくしている。

いつかはマックとiPod機を所有してみたいと思ってるけど、もう少し部屋が大きいマンションとウインドウズ＝マックＯＳへの移行にもう少し柔軟性が無いと、２種類のＯＳの環境を保つのは本当に難しいな。

まぁ、少なくとも妹がアップルのために働いてるってのは嬉しいし、いつかはマックに出会うかもね。人生に一人っていう女の子に出会うようなとても楽しい経験になるかも知れない。「発想の転換」のチャンスを待っているだけに。

　高校の先輩（と言っても、俺が生まれた年に
　卒業されてますが）が作った会社だからとは
　言わないが、一度は会社に追い出されても
　しぶとく復活して、さらにみんなが驚く
　発想の転換でアップルを再建したジョブスは
　すごいと思う。
　自分もこれから何度も浮沈のタイミングが
　あると思うが、巻き返しにはやっぱり
　"think different"が鍵を握ると思う。
