Relieved...

タイトル：ホッとした…

Typhoon BANYAN did land on Kanto area.
Right after 8PM, the center of the storm landed near Kamogawa City of Chiba Prefecture as it was weakening.
Though the storm brought enough rain, I felt relieved to hear there haven't been reports of deaths by the typhoon...


watching the launch at around 11:39PM(JST) yesterday (on CNN)

As I was about to go home, Discovery was about to make its launch. As the countdown started, my heart was beating fast and I prayed it will go fine.
The liftoff went fine and everybody staring at the live broadcast in the news center seemed to be very happy.
I also was impressed ...but more than the that, profoundly relieved!

台風バンヤンは確かに関東地区に上陸した。
午後８時すぎに、台風の中心が千葉県の鴨川市付近に上陸した。弱まりながらも。
嵐は十分雨を運んできたが、台風で亡くなった人がいないと聞いてホッとした。

家に帰ろうとしたころ、ディスカバリーが打ち上げを行うところだった。カウントダウンが始まると、心臓がドキドキして、上手く行くように祈った。
打ち上げは成功し、ニュースセンターで生中継をにらんでいたみんながとても嬉しそうだった。
俺も感動した…でもそれ以上に心からホッとした！

　という想いがあった。
　コロンビアのことは分からないが、
　（ニュースを聞いたとき、甲府で
　山梨県知事選の準備をしてた気がする）
　やはりチャレンジャーのときの悲しみが
　どこかに残ってるんだろう。
　あのときは心から悲しかった。
　だから、今回は心からホッとした！
