BBC's special report was informative and sensational... journalism and performance integrated into realism... what Japanese news show makers should learn from!
These couple of days, the news shows were hijacked by the reinstatement of the United Kingdom. Yesterday by surprisingly knocking out Paris for its hosting of the 2012 Olympic Games and today... an uprising meticulously planned by terrorists breaking the peace of an unforgotten kingdom...
We Japanese should have a sense of sympathy as just ten years ago we faced an indiscriminate killing in our capital by a cult using poison gas Sarin as the lethal weapon. Scotland Yard should've learned from this terrorist attack in Japan on March 20th of 1995, and could have saved many lives. But one thing... a completely distinct fact is that we are in the post 911 world now, and terrorism has mistakenly captured its spot in history...
BUT for us... we shouldn't dismiss this unforgivable act saying the Sarin attack was executed by a crazy religious group and not terrorists with a cause. Innocent people were attacked defenselessly at the capital of Japan in the morning rush hour just like today in London and we must together show our rage towards the attack!!
In that sense, we are living in the same world, aren't we!?

写真：ＢＢＣの特番は情報が詰まってたし、扇情的でもあった…。ジャーナリズムとパフォーマンスが折り混ざって現実を映し出していた…。日本のニュース番組制作者たちもこういうのから学ばないといけないね！
ここ数日、ニュース番組は英国の復権によってハイジャックされっぱなしだ。昨日、予想外にパリを蹴落として、２０１２年のオリンピックの開催地に選ばれ、そして今日は…テロリストによって周到に計画された蜂起が忘れられた王国の平穏を打ち破った…。
我々日本人は同情するはずだ。たった１０年前に我々の首都で毒ガスのサリンを殺人平気に使ったカルトによる無差別殺人が あったばかりだからだ。スコットランド・ヤードは１９９５年の３月２０日に日本で起きたこのテロ攻撃から学んでおいたなら、たくさんの命を救えたはずだ。 でも一つ…全く違う事実は、我々が９１１後の世界に生きていることで、テロが誤って歴史の中での重要な位置を占めてしまったことだ…。
でも我々にとっても…今回の容赦できない行為を許すわけにはいかない。サリン攻撃は狂った宗教集団が実行したもので、理由があるテロリストが実行したのと は違うと思って。ロンドンでは、日本の首都で起きたときと同じように通勤ラッシュの時間に何の罪もない人たちが無防備なうちに攻撃されたんだ。この攻撃に ついては、俺たちも一緒に憤りを見せないといけない！！
そういう意味では、俺たちは同じ世界に生きてるんだ。と思わない！？
