As I tried to hurry back home to watch the baseball game, I made a big mistake.
While I was pedaling like crazy on my bike, I didn't notice dropping my mobile phone.
I ran back the route I came a couple of times to look for it, but ended up in vain...
But very luckily, I found it at a "koban" (=police box) of Hongo 3 chome.
This was the first time ever for me to fill up a "lost and found" report to the police!

野球の試合を見るために急いで帰ろうとしたら、大きな間違いを犯してしまった。
自転車で狂ったようにこいでたら、携帯電話を落としたことに気付かなかった。
何度か来た道を戻って走ったが、無駄に終わった…。
でもとてもラッキーなことに、本郷３丁目の交番で見つかった。
警察に「拾得物」届けを出すのはこれを初めてのことやね！

but sadly the phone was dead... It probably hit the ground pretty hard...
I can see lots of chips and scrathes on it... I'm really sorry, Miss MOBILE PHONE!!
I have to change it to a new one on Monday...
lucky or unlucky!? well at least the bad guys didn't get their hand on it...

月曜に新しいのに変えなきゃな…。
ラッキーなのかアンラッキーなのか！？まぁ、少なくとも悪いヤツらの手には渡らなかったんやから…。

lost and found　落とし物の取扱所
　「遺失物取扱所」のこと。
　lost＝無くした found＝見つかった
　物を無くしたら、ダメもとで
　"the lost and found counter"を訪ねて
　見つかってないか聞いてみる。
　海外じゃ、まず見つからんよね。
　見つかる率がまだ少し高い
　日本って本当に良い国なのかも…。
　チャリも良く盗まれたりして、
　無くすことがあるけど、警察に届け出ると、
　「出てきました」って連絡あることもあるし。
　誰かがどっかで乗り捨ててるんだよね。
　ちなみに恋のlost and foundは無いのかね。
　いや、もう届け出るつもりは無いけど。
