ah... there you are!
Another cold and damp day with rain from time to time.
Went off to Tokyo University again to talk to several professors of various fields of research. Got nothing that would lead to a great report, but grabbed some new ideas that might lead to some, and talking to academic scholars lead to another clean-up of my messed up brain.
At lunchtime, with an assistant professor I've known for years, I took off to a nearby pasta restaurant. After having a bacon and leaf mustard spaghetti, we ordered the specialty of the season, a cherry blossom flavored tea! The scent was just like a sakura-mochi, a rice cake using leaves of the cherry blossom trees.
At least I felt a little spring for a while!!
Let's hope the following days from tomorrow will just be springful how it's supposed to be.

また東京大学に行って、色々な専門分野の教授と話してきた。すごいリポートになりそうなものには巡り合わなかったが、少しはものになりそうなこともつかんできたし、研究者たちに話すことでぐちゃぐちゃになっている頭の整理にもなった。
昼食は、長年の知人である助教授とすぐ近くのパスタ・レストランへ飛び込んだ。ベーコンと高菜のスパゲッティを食べた後、季節限定のさくらの紅茶を注文した。香りは桜餅、桜の木の葉っぱを使うお餅、にそっくりだった。
ほんの短い間、春のかけらを感じることができたからいいや！！
あすからの数日はただ春らしくなるように祈るよ。本来そうあるべきだけどね。
