From today I will start something new with this diary. As three months has passed by, I've realized there's more I can do to let my brain work a little more, which in return will enhance my English skills.
I will try to translate each posts into Japanese as honestly translation is one of my weak points. It's easier for me to think in English and give outputs straight out in English. When the output needed is Japanese, it's easier for me to think in Japanese too. In other words, it's so hard for me to think in Japanese and write or speak in English and vice versa.
So for my training I'll be writing down what I was trying to say in Japanese below my English posts. Sorry for guys out there without ways of reading Japanese! Also, in each post I'll try to pick up new terms or a special phrases I'd like to mention for that day. The explanation of that particular word will be written down in Japanese for reference, which may be useful for me in the future.
By the way, at the same time I'll try to make my posts shorter. Thinking about myself, I think learning to summarize my feelings is another skill I must build. This post will be the last of longer ones!!
But, this is not just for me! I see that the counter at the end of this diary has reached the four hundred mark and I realize many have visited here. Thanks to my family and friends being a little curious. ...If you might want to use this diary for learning a little bit of English everyday, I wish it can be more helpful to you too. Of course, reading this just for fun makes me happy too.
But please note that the translation will not be word by word (not even correct! ha ha) or rather more of free translation... well it'll be MY STYLE of translation. And also as I'm writing my diary almost everyday, I always try to keep my pace of half an hour a day. Adding translation will probably exceed that limit, so the translation update may take days... please be patient!
But along the way I've translated my profiles and a couple of posts in January and these several days.
I wish with this modification, I can get more comments from you guys! Japanese commnents are always welcome too!!
タイトル：日記のモデルチェンジ！
きょうからこの日記で新しいことを始めることにした。（日記を付け始めて）３ヶ月が過ぎたが、自分の頭をもう少し回転させるのに他にできることがあることに気づいた。自分の英語力を高めることにもつながると思う。
そ れぞれの書き込みを日本語に訳してみようと思う。正直言うと翻訳が自分の苦手なもの一つだから。英語で考えてそのまま英語ではき出す方が簡単なんだな。 日本語のアウトプットが必要なときは、考えることも日本語でした方が楽。つまり、日本語で考えて英語で書いたり話したりすることは自分にとってすごく難し くて、その逆もしかり。
ということで、自分のトレーニングのために英語の書き込みの下に何を話そうとしているのか、日本語でも書き込むことにし た。日本語を読む手段がない連中に は申し訳ないんだけどね。さらにそれぞれの書き込みで可能な限り、その日に取り上げたい新しい言葉や特別な字句を抽出しようと思う。今後の参考のためにそ の言葉の説明を日本語で書いてみようと思う。
ところでついでに自分の書き込みをもう少し短くしようと思う。自分にとって必要なことを考えると、気持ちを要約して伝えられるようにすることも鍛えなければならない技能だ。これを最後に長い書き込みは止めよう。
と ころで、これは自分以外の人たちのためにもやっていきたい！この日記の最後にあるカウンターを見ると、すでに４００件を超えていて、たくさんの人がのぞいてく れていることに気づいた。自分の家族や友人たちが少しでも興味をもってくれていることに感謝するが、みんながこの日記を見て、毎日少しずつでも英語を学ぶことができるように、もっと参考になるようにしてみたい。勿論、興味だけで見てくれるのも嬉しいもんだけど。
でも、理解してほしいのは、翻訳は直訳では なく、（ましてや正しくないかも。はは）意訳、もっと言うと、独自のスタイルの翻訳だということ。それに日記はほとん ど毎日書いているものの、いつも費やす時間は３０分以内にするようにしていて、翻訳を加えることはそれを超えることになっちゃうので、翻訳は数日後になっ ちゃう場合もあります・・・少し我慢して頂けると助かります！
とりあえずプロフィールの部分と、１月のいくつかと、ここ数日間の書き込みを翻訳した。
今回の改善を受けて、みんなからもっとコメントが頂けたらいいんだけど！日本語のコメントもいつでも大歓迎だし！！
