It was a gorgeous Saturday and no signs of rainfall which was forcasted to remain in the morning.
My colleague from Nagano, who is also a horse race gambling comrade, called for a meeting at Fuchu to draw out all the money we've deposited in the "Bank of JRA".

素晴らしい土曜日。予報で朝まで残ると言われた降水の気配もなく。
競馬仲間でもある長野の同僚が府中で集会を開いて「ＪＲＡ銀行」に預けているお金を引き出そうと呼びかけた。

The horsey members gathering in front of the race track were competitors of the POG (see end of today's diary for details) we play together, and one of my PO horses was running in the main race today!


my horse Easter(No.1) was ready to win the Grade 2 race!

Unfortunately Easter didn't win today's Keio Hai 2 Year Old Stakes (http://210.168.85.50/cgi-bin/db2www.cgi/jair0003.d2w/
report?race_ymd=20051112&race_jo_cd=05&race_no=11),
but finished as a satisfying runner-up.
Not bad for only a second run.


the winner Denshamichi(No.4) didn't look so steady in the paddock...
but he managed to capture a grade 2 race...

残念ながらイースターはきょうの京王杯２歳ステークスを勝てなかった（英語の結果ＵＲＬ）が、納得がいく２着に入った。
２走目にしては悪くないさ。

After leaving Fuchu, depositing enough money in the "Bank of JRA", we headed for Ikebukuro.


before starting in our main task tonight, we went to eat some gorgeous lamb meat!

We watched a play based on the tragic accident of flight 123 (see http://hide3diary.blogspot.com/2005/08/123.html about the accident).
To tell the truth the play was pretty tricky and even though I'm not a lover of artistic plays, today's was beyond my comprehension...
Well, but the perplexity was a good stimulant to mix up my stiffened up brain letting it see a puzzling different world.

１２３便の悲痛な事故を題材にした演劇をみた（事故についての参考）。
本当のことを言うと、演劇はかなりトリッキーで芸術的な演劇も苦手だけど、きょうのは理解を超えていた…。
でもその複雑さが固くなっている頭に、困らせるような別世界を見せて、その中をほぐすのに良い刺激になった。

Having more drinks later on again relaxed my mixed up mind, and all was right when I was heading back home.
I even managed to think I really should try to watch more plays and dramas just to see the enthusiasms of artists on stage and get in for myself some incentives to go on with life, enjoying the artistic and entertainment world!

そのあともちょっと飲んで、混乱した頭をリラックスさせて、家路につくときにはすべて問題がない状態に戻った。
もっと演劇や芝居を見るべきだと思うようになったづらいだ。舞台に立つ芸術家たちの情熱を見て、人生を歩んでいくための刺激を自分自身に与えて。芸術的な演芸の世界を楽しんで。

参加者たちが実際に登録されている２歳馬をデビュー前に選んでバーチャルな馬主になるゲーム。実際のレースの結果に基づいたポイント数が一番高かったものが勝者になる。ファンタジーベースボールやフットボールの競馬版。
うちの仲間内では、１０頭の馬を選んで、ポイント数は単純にその馬が来年の日本ダービーまでにどれだけの賞金を収得するかによる。
今やＰＯＧの参加者数は１０万人以上だと言われている。
