The day was beautiful again!
Thankfully, I've been saying this again and again!
Too good of a day to take my car out, I decided to take my other partner out for a ride to the hoops.
きょうも素晴らしい！
有り難いことに何度も何度もこう言ってるよね！
車で出るのにはあまりにも良い日すぎて、別の相棒をバスケコートまで連れ出すことにした。
I timed my run.
14:10 at home, 14:49 at the hoops.
wow! just under 40 minutes! not bad!

After playing basketball for about half an hour, it was time to...
listen to the shortwave radio broadcasting...
for the fillies running to become The Queen at Kyoto.
In the radio, I learned I've hit the quinella, but missed the trifecta...
I had the two fillies in first and second place, but not the third...
３０分ほどバスケをしたら、時間がやってきた…

ラジオで、馬連は当たったけど、３連単は外したのは分かった…。
１着と２着の牝馬は勝ってたけど、３着のは無かった…。
After playing at the hoops for another three quarters of an hour, I went back home cycling through a very quiet Ichibancho and Kojimachi, and a still busy Yotsuya and Shinjuku.
あと４５分ほどバスケをやって、家に向かってサイクリング。かなり静かな一番町や麹町やまだまだ忙しい四谷や新宿を通って。
Back at home, I reviewed the race.
the fifth favorite Osumi Haruka(No.1) I had in my bets was still leading by more than four lengths after the last corner, but the second favorite Sweet Tosho(No. 8) came out from no where to complete her coronation as The Queen!
the fourth favorite and a two year queen Admire Groove(No.3) showed her pride securing the third position.
the most favorite and the three year old champion filly Air Messiah(No.11) finished fifth and the third favorite Yamanin Alabaster(No.12) eighth.

家に戻って、レースを振り返った。
画像：馬券で持っていた５番人気のオースミハルカ（１番）は最後のコーナーを回ったあとも４馬身以上のリードがあったが、２番人気のスイープトウショウ（８番）がどこだか分からんところから抜け出して女王としての戴冠を果たした！
４番人気で２回女王となっているアドマイヤグルーヴ（３番）が意地を見せて３着を確保した。
１番人気で３歳馬のチャンピオン牝馬エアメサイア（１１番）は５着に終わり、３番人気のヤマニンアラバスタ（１２番）は８着。

Until yesterday, I was thinking of betting for the underdogs, but it was autumn!
Who knows what girls would do in this time of season!?
Being fickle as a girl's passion or the autumn sky (a saying in Japan talking about "a woman's mind and winter wind change oft").
I changed my plans and bet for the first, second, and third favorite along with the fillies that go in front.
My plan was just short of hitting the trifecta failing to buy the fourth favorite Admire Groove... And she's a two time Queen capturing the race in 2003 and 2004!
Ugg... It's hard to completely understand the minds of girls! Ha, ha!
...but at least I didn't lose out today!ail
昨日までは人気薄に賭けようと思っていた。でも、秋じゃないか！
この季節に女の子たちがどうするかなんて分かるかよ！？
女心と秋の空（日本の諺で「女性の心と冬の風向きはコロコロ変わる」ことを意味する）。
計画を変更して、１番・２番・３番人気と前の方に行く牝馬たちに賭けた。
この計画はほんのちょっとだけ３連単の的中に届かなかった。４番人気のアドマイヤグルーヴを勝ってなかった…。そして彼女は２００３年と２００４年にレースを勝って２回も女王になっているのに！
うぐ…。女の子の心を完璧に理解するのは難しいや！はは！
…でも少なくとも今日は負けなかったもん！

女心と秋の空。英語では秋の空ではなく、
冬の風。どうして？
昔のイギリスの牧師さんが民俗研究で
女性がいかに気まぐれかということを
まとめた諺集の中に入っているようだ。
イギリスでは天気が変わりやすいのは、
秋より冬のようだ。
一応、冬は風だけでなく、天気自体も
同じように気まぐれで、
winter windはwinter weatherとも
言い換えられるようだ。
