A nose... again!

タイトル：ハナ…また！

This time the winner by a nose was not last year's champion horse of Japan, France nor the U.S.
今回ハナ差で勝ったのは、去年の日本、フランス、それにアメリカの王者でも無かった。

I woke up late again, but made it to my garden in time...
the horses were starting to circle the paddock already!
My targets were the four year old colts Heart's Cry (No. 16) and Suzuka Mambo (No. 17)
...and I made it to the reserved seats area by courtesy of my friend!
a very exciting battle in the last furlong before the goal!

ゴール前の１ハロンの戦いはとにかくすごかった！


the English horse Alkaased(No.14) captured the title with only a nose in front of my favorite Heart's Cry...
the Japanese champion horse Zenno Rob Roy(No.8) finished third,
and last year's European champion filly Ouija Board(No.6) fifth...
Suzuka Mambo, this spring's Emperor's Cup winner,
Bago, last year's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner,
Cosmo Bulk, last year's runner up in this race were all no where in sight...
moreover it was a world record breaking decision...
a legendary record Horlicks and Oguri Cap made in 1989 which was thought to be never broken!

ホーリックスとオグリキャップが１９８９年に樹立した伝説的なレコードは絶対破られることはないと思われていたのに！

In my mind, I can still hear the noises at the stands when the red sign of "record" flashed on the notice board...
a very appropriate ending deciding which horse is the fastest in the world!
「レコード」の赤いサインが掲示板に点灯したときのスタンドのざわめきがまだ頭の中に残っている…
どの馬が世界で一番早いのか決めるのに相応しい決着だった！


I stayed for the last race... Don't ask me how I did!
Saying farewell to Fuchu this year, as I probably won't be coming here for at least two months!
