After I took a short nap in the morning, the number doubled to six...
and while I was working all day on the news about the heavy rain...
another one was launched in the evening, making the total at seven!!
yes these guys are crazy!!

Well I shouldn't say they're crazy just from my emotions... it's surely a part of their tactics to make us angry...
I'm no expert on international politics (though I studied it at college! more than a decade ago!!), but I surely understand the handling of this neighboring insane autocracy will be very crucial to Japan for at least half a decade...
Surfing the web I thought this analysis was easy to understand...
いや感情だけで狂ってるって言っちゃいけないな…俺たちを怒らせるのも当然戦略の内だろうし…。
国際政治の専門家では無いんだけど（大学で勉強したけどね！１０年以上前のことだけどね！！）、日本にとっては、この隣の正気でない独裁国家をどう扱うのかが少なくともあと５年は日本にとって極めて重要だということはよく理解している…。

In the wake of the missile tests, it will be significant to monitor how all of the players in the Six-Party Talks adjust their positions. Washington will likely respond aggressively, although short of any actions that will cause a radical change in the intensity of the conflict; immediately after the tests, for example, the White House announced that while the tests were "provocative," they posed "no immediate threat to the United States." Instead, Washington has concentrated on the fact that the more threatening Taepodong-2 missile test failed. Tokyo will follow Washington's lead since U.S.-Japan interests are generally aligned toward North Korea, and it apparently has called for an emergency Wednesday meeting at the U.N. Security Council.
More revealing will be the response by China and South Korea. If Beijing does not take significant action against Pyongyang after the tests, it will demonstrate that Beijing will maintain its current status-quo policy toward North Korea. If Seoul refrains from harshly criticizing Pyongyang, it will demonstrate that it does not see the missile tests as a significant threat to its interests and will continue to pursue its policy of increasing economic ties with the North. The missile tests could, however, weaken moderates in South Korea and result in the country moving back toward the more hard-line U.S.-Japan policy toward Pyongyang. The coming days will be critical to assess changes in the power balance in this festering East Asian conflict.

ミサイル実験に続いて、６か国協議のすべてのメンバーがどのように立場を調節してくるか監視することが重要だ。アメリカ政府はおそらく積極的に反応するだろう。問題の重大性に根本的な変化を加えるような行動にはほど遠いものだろうが；例えば、実験の直後にホワイトハウスは、テストは「挑発的でした」だったと発表するとともに、「アメリカにとって身近な脅威は無い」という態度を取った。その一方で、アメリカ政府はより脅威的なテポドン２号のミサイル実験が失敗したという事実に話を集中させたということだ。日本政府もアメリカ政府の方針に従うだろう。対北朝鮮で日米の利害はほぼ一致しているし、日本政府は国連安全保障理事会の緊急会議を水曜日に開くよう呼びかけたようだ。
さらに注目されるのが、中国と韓国の反応だ。中国政府が実験後に北朝鮮に対して目立つ行動を取らなければ、中国は北朝鮮に対して今の現状維持の方針を保つことを示したことになる。もし韓国が、北朝鮮を厳しく非難することを控えるなら、それはミサイル実験が彼らにとって重大な脅威であるとみなさず、北との経済的な結びつきを強化する政策を取り続けると示すことになる。しかし、ミサイル実験は、韓国の穏健派を弱体化させて、より強硬な態度を取る日米の対北朝鮮政策の路線が復活するような結果となるかも知れない。これからの数日はこのくすぶる東アジアの問題でこのパワーバランスにどのような変化があるのか評価することが重要になる。

North Korea's tactics had always been taking the balance between these two axes.
Which way each will shift... by each nation's actions and announcements... would be something to watch carefully especially for these next few weeks!!

北朝鮮の戦略はいつもこの２つの軸のバランスを取ることにあった。
