Our country is again inside a freezer as the temperature will go below zero degrees at a wide area from tonight till tomorrow...
I really hate it!!
And believe it or not, today was the the day before the beginning of spring ("Setsubun") according to the lunar calender of Japan... well only according to the outdated calender...
it's so popular nowadays on Setsubun to eat a thick sushi roll called "Ehomaki"...
you just close your eyes and eat all of it without stopping, without saying a word and making a wish...
you must point the roll at the direction where the god of good fortune "Toshitokujin" sits, which differs every year (this year it was the SSE direction).
A tradition said to be started by the wholesale merchants of Semba of Osaka, and revived by modern merchants selling seaweeds (which of course are used for sushi rolls!).

lots of people waiting in line to get Ehomakis...
they all fell for the trick played by the merchants...
but it's not a bad trick... you have to play some kind of trick to do business...
and this trick was not poisonous like Livedoor's or Toyoko Inn's, right?
and most importantly, I think everybody's having fun!
