Worked like crazy to finish my short story about the lessons still unlearned by authorities after the devastating Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake.
After overnight duty, I went on to finish off my work by taking an interview of a specialist about disaster prevention.
I was already groggy when I had some drinks with my colleagues early at night...

とにかく働いた。大きな被害をもたらした新潟中越地震のあと、行政側がいまだにその教訓から学んでいないということについて短い原稿を終わらせるために。
泊まり勤務の後、仕事を終わらせるべく、防災の専門家のインタビューを撮りに行った。
夜早くに同僚たちと飲みに行ったときには、すでにグロッキーだった。


A time of relief at my office at just before six in the morning...
the unhealthiness somehow relieves me...
reading comic books... eating instant noodles...
by the way... it's more than a decade since the last time I read "Slam Dunk"...
(some volumes were left in my office as they were used for reference photos about a report about plagiarism by another comic writer)
I better get the other volumes at some secondhand bookstore!!
