21 hours of work, work, work...
Typhoon No.20 (Kirogi) was just a pain in the ass as I took care of it all the way from around 3:15 AM throughout the morning.


meanwhile an article on Yahoo! News? that the Chinese army have invaded Okinawa... ha ha ha... it ain't April Fools... No one would laugh even if it were April 1st...

２１時間も仕事、仕事、仕事…。
台風２０号（キロギー）は単なるやっかいもんで、とにかく午前３時１５分頃からず～っと午前中、相手をしとった。

It was a really long day as I worked on a report about the Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake that hit the area just about a year ago.
I also had to go to a press conference at Kasumigaseki.
And...
My consciousness was hazy enough when a quake hit the Kanto area at night...


M6.3 quake at 8:44PM off the coast of Ibaraki Prefecture...
another quake with a maximum tremble scale of 5 minus...

Why are earthquakes like these not uncommon anymore?
Are we in an active period of quakes?
I hope not... I just don't... but we can't take chances.

ほんまに長い日やった。ちょうど１年ほど前に発生した新潟中越地震についての原稿を書く作業をしてた。
記者会見で霞ヶ関にも行かなあかんかったし。
ほんで…。
意識が十分朦朧としている夜になって、関東地方に地震が来よった。

また最大で震度５弱の地震や…。

なんでこういう地震ってもう珍しないようになったんやろ？
地震の活動期に入ったんやろか？
そうでないことを祈りたいわ…。ほんまに…。でも運だけに頼るわけにはいかへん。
にぃちゃんもねぇちゃんも準備できてまっか？

　地震関係の論文の英語版を見ると、
　地震の活動期って
　非英語ネイティブの国では
　活動的(active)時期(period)としている。
　ちなみに静穏期はcalm period.
　日本や中国の論文とかね。
　アメリカ人の論文なんかは
　period of high activityと書いている。
　うーん、ま、こっちの方が学問的には
　正しいのかな。
　でも、一般的にはactive periodでいいでしょ。
　仕事も恋愛もactive periodとcalm periodがある。
　俺にとって今はどっち？
　なーいしょ。
