Spent my time so carefree, I forgot there was a soccer match to watch. (I saw the news service by Jiji and learned N. Korea beat the Japanese in the East Asian Football Championship... Maybe I was lucky to forget about it...)
I went to Nikotama for the first time to meet my old friends from my high school days, sharing our experiences out in the business world.
Chatting about a better life, we were wondering if there's any way to go back to the States, especially the Bay Area, and make a living playing golf and tennis when we want to. I don't know if we're innocent dreamers, but somehow I feel this dream is not an impossibility. Maybe we can see each other again there, where we all met as a teenager filled with dreams!
Anyways, a nice way to finish off a weekend, talking about dreams to seek.
Nikotama! I didn't know the nearby train station's name is not Nikotama, but Futako-Tamagawa. Years before it was named Futago-Tamagawaen. Niko? Futako? Futago? Anyways, there's so many places I've never been in this megacity...
あまりにものんびりと過ごしすぎて、サッカーの試合を見なきゃいけないのを忘れちまってた。（時事の配信サービスで東アジア選手権で北朝鮮が日本を破ったことを知った…忘れてて良かったかも…）
高校時代の古いダチたちに会うために、初めて二子玉に足を運んだ。社会人としての経験を語り合いに行った。
もっと楽しい人生を送るための方策を話し合ってしまった。もう一回アメリカに戻る方法が無いものかと思いながら。特にベイエリアにね。好きなときにゴルフやテニスをしな がら生きて行けたらいいなぁって。無邪気な空想家と思われるかも知れないけど、何となくそんな夢も不可能じゃない気がするんだ。ひょっとしたら、お互いあそこでまた会えるかも 知れないよ。夢で詰まった１０代のときに知り合ったところでね！
まぁとにかく週末を終えるにはちょうど良い感じ。叶えたい夢のことを話して合うなんてね。
写真：二子玉！近くの駅の名前が二子玉（にこたま）でなく、二子玉川（ふたこたまがわ）だとは知らんかった。何年も前は二子玉川園（ふたごたまがわえん）だったそうな。にこ？ふたこ？ふたご？…とにかくこの大都市でまだ知らんとこ、たくさんあるわ…。

タイトルのfree from careも同義。
「無責任」というような意味も込められているが、
のんびり、何の責任も感じずに休めることが
一番幸せだ。この仕事を始めてから、そんな休みが
取れることはほとんど無い。この仕事の辛いところであり、
やりがいがあるところ…。気分の問題かも知れないけどね。
