Start of the preseason... in Tokyo!

タイトル：プレシーズンの始まり…東京で！


the preseason game at Tokyo Dome as the Falcons narrowly beat the Colts. the two could-be MVPs can very well meet in the Super Bowl. the funniest play was FB McCrary's touchdown in the second quarter. after heading the ball passed to him, he recovered it and with a Flinstone move with his legs, stretched the ball into the endzone.

I was so tardy to move yesterday, and as I could've taken my bicycle to a nearby Tokyo Dome to see an NFL game between two probable Super Ball contenders, I made a mistake letting my sleepiness catch me at around 4PM.
I woke up at 9PM, and went to my office to clean up some mess, and all the choice I had left was to see the recording of the game on NTV at midnight.
The game was pretty good even with the two great starting QBs only playing for two drives each. (in japanese: http://www.nfltokyo2005.com/)

This year again would probably be a rigid one for my favorite 49ers, but I've always enjoyed seeing weaker teams fighting off top teams like last year's surprising Dolphins-Patriots game. Sadly, I think no 49ers game would be broadcasted on NHK's satellite channel, but I'm not enthused to sign up for cable, as watching TV at home is a rarity for me with my job.
Maybe I can miraculously take some days off in the winter to get over to the States to see one along with an NBA match...
Yeah, I wish!

写 真：東京ドームで行われたプレシーズンゲーム。ファルコンズが辛うじてコルツを下した。このＭＶＰ候補の２人がスーパー ボウルで対戦する可能性は高い。一番おもろいプレーはフルバックのマクラーリーのセカンドクォーターのタッチダウンだった。パスされたボールをヘディング したあと、リカバーをして、フリンストーン的な足の動き（アメリカのすっちゃかめっちゃか恐竜時代アニメ。走るときにアホみたいに足を回転させる、アメリ カ人なら誰でも知ってる動き）を見せて、ボールをエンドゾーンに伸ばし込んだ。

昨日は動きがとにかく遅すぎて、チャリに乗って近くの東京ドームに行ってＮＦＬのスーパーボウル進出候補の２つのチーム同士の試合を見ることができたのに、夕方の４時頃に睡魔に襲われるがままにしてしまった。
夜９時に起きて、雑用を片づけるために会社に行った。残った選択肢は夜中の日テレの録画放送を見るぐらいだった。
試合は結構おもろかった。２人の偉大なＱＢが２ドライブずつしかプレーしなかったことが差し引いても。（日本語で：ＮＦＬ　ＴＯＫＹＯのＵＲＬ）

今 年はまた贔屓のフォーティーナイナーズにとって厳しい年になりそうだが、いつも弱いチームがトップチームをぶっ倒すとこを見るのが楽しかったし。去年の 大番狂わせのドルフィンズ対ペイトリオッツの試合みたいにね。悲しいことにフォーティーナイナーズの試合はＮＨＫのＢＳではたぶん一つも放送されないだろ うけど、ケーブルに加入するほどの熱狂的な気持ちもない。この仕事だと家でテレビを見ることはほとんどないから。
ひょっとしたら冬に奇跡的に何日か休んで、アメリカに渡って一試合でも見られるかも。ＮＢＡの試合と一緒に…。
だといいよなぁ！

　だるだるって意味でも使ってました。
