Japan's adventure in Deutschland is over...
I went to bed before midnight last night, which is very rare for me and woke up at 3:30 hoping to watch a legend...

It could've well been a legend, as victory seemed to be possible throughout the game, as the young Brazilians only had 2 goals, both in the first half by the "inho"s and had our teamthe same number of goals!!
Nakamura's goal was a clean one, temporarily tying the game in the first half, and Oguro finished off the ball deflecting from the post after Nakamura kicked the free kick, to tie the game for the second time with only minutes to go... BUT it wasn't enough to pull out a miraculous victory like they did in the 1996 Olympiad at Atlanta when GK Kawaguchi stopped all of Brazil's 28 shots on the Japanese goal.
Kawaguchi was not bad today as he stopped a couple of crucial shots, but attackers in front were unfortunate at times with the ball hitting the goalpost being just INCHES away to victory!

Well, the Brazilians suffered greatly this time and they probably know how strong a team Japan is, so we don't have to lose our hearts!
We still have another adventurous chance to return to Germany and kick ass!!

日本のドイツでの冒険が終わった…。
自分にとってとても珍しいことだけど、昨夜は夜中前に床についた。そして伝説を見られると期待して、午前３時半に起きた。

伝説になっても不思議ではなかった。試合を通して、ずっと勝ちそうだったからだ。若いブラジルチームは２点しか取れなかった。両方とも前半に「イーニョ」たちに取られたが、うちのチームも同じ数のゴールを入れたんだから！！
前 半に一時的に試合を五分五分にした中村のゴールはきれいだったし、大黒が、中村がフリーキックで蹴ったあと、ポストからはね返ったボールを押し込んで、 残り試合あと数分というところで２回目の同点とした…。でも１９９６年のアトランタ五輪でゴールキーパー川口が日本に向けられたブラジルの２８本のシュー トすべてを止めたときのように奇跡的な勝利を呼び込むには十分ではなかった。
川口はきょうも悪くはなかった。致命的なシュートを何本か止めてた。前方の攻撃陣もボールがゴールポストに当たったりして、不運なことが時々あった。勝利まであとのほんのちょっとだったんだ！

まぁ、今回ブラジルチームはかなり苦しんだし、日本のチームがどれぐらい強いか分かっただろうから、悲観的になることはない！
まだドイツに戻って冒険をするチャンスがあるんだから、ガツンとやったろうぜ！！
