Champions!!

Detroit had the largest 9 point lead in the beginning of the 3rd quarter, but the tide changed and there was Ginobili's decisive three pointer. They held on to become number one! As former teammate David Robinson cheers, MVP Duncan holds the trophy for the third time!

It was another tremendous game as I didn't eat lunch again and sit in front of the TV in my office to watch the last game of this year's NBA Final. As Detroit tied the series in Game 6, it was expected to be another close one. But Duncan - Ginobili and the gang's performance topped the defending champions and secured their third championship.
The last quarter was close until the Spurs started to dominate the latter half. Ginobili's three pointer with 3 minutes to go was the decisive score giving the Spurs a 7 point lead, clinching the championship.
The series was defensive all the way, but that made the scoring stand out. These two teams will probably be firm next season, but I hope there will be challengers that will blow out defensive teams with an outrageous offense like the Suns and Heat this year! Can't wait!

またすごい試合になった。また昼食を抜いて、職場にあるテレビの前に座って今年のＮＢＡファイナルの最後の試合を見た。デトロイトが第６ゲームでシリーズ をタイに持ち込んだが、今回も接戦になるものと見られた。でもダンカン・ジノービリーと仲間たちのパフォーマンスは去年の王者を上回って３回目のチャンピ オンの座を確保した。
最後のクオーターもスパーズが後半を支配し始めるまでは接戦だった。残り３分でジノービリーの決定的なスリーポイントがスパーズに７点リードを与えて、チャンピオンシップも決まった。
シリーズはずっと守備的だったが、それがかえって点が入ることを際だたせていた。この２チームは来シーズンも手堅いんだろうが、今年のサンズやヒートのように守備的なチームを圧倒的な攻撃で倒す挑戦者たちがいたらいいな！楽しみだなぁ！
