The new week started rough with an urgent news jumping in, about Japanese tourists missing in Western Australia.

We called numerous companies handling tours to the Karijini National Park in Western Australia and contacted several tourism bureaus of the area. We concentrated mainly in Perth where most of the tours to the Karijini NP were hosted.
But after two hours of searching, the local police finally gave out words of the finding of the tourists alive near a gorge safe and sound.

There's so many treasures of nature in Japan, but ambitious tourists are never satisfied domestically, and they find their way to endless gratification of our mother earth... But we shouldn't become a nuisance to the locals.
I admit I'd also want to go to adventures in such a fascinating spot of nature, as Australia has always been one of the countries I'd like to visit. Actually I was talking with my senior colleague just a week ago about our dreams of being sent to the Sydney Bureau when we get older.
Well at least we must learn how to act wisely in a place without having any sense of locality!!

新しい週が荒っぽく始まった。日本人観光客がオーストラリア西部で行方不明になっているという緊急ニュースが飛び込んできた。

オーストラリア西部のカリジニ国立公園へのツアーを取り扱っている会社に幾つも電話で当たったほか、周辺の幾つかの観光協会にもコンタクトを取ってみた。カリジニ国立公園へのツアーのほとんどが催されているパースを中心に狙いを定めた。
ところが、２時間ほど聞き回ったあと、ようやく地元警察が観光客が無事に無傷で見つかったという情報を出してきた。

日本にもたくさんの自然がもたらす宝物があるが、野心的な観光客たちは国内で満たされることはなく、母なる地球がもたらす無尽蔵な充足感へ何とかたどり着いてしまう…。にしても、現地の人たちにやっかいになったらいかんよなぁ。
思わず自然の魅惑的なスポットに冒険しに行きたくなっちゃうのは分からんでもない。オーストラリアはずっと、一度は訪問してみたい国だったし、ちょうど先週、年を取ったらシドニー支局に行かせてもらえるのが夢ですねぇと先輩と話したばかりだ。
まぁ少なくとも土地勘がないところでは賢く行動できるように勉強しとかないと！！
