I woke up at around 3:30PM, relieved to see typhoon No. 17 (SAORA) still taking its expected path...
It's some kind of a routine now to take out my buddy out to my hideout. As my leather veiled buddy is getting thrashed by the jagged concrete outdoor court, I decided to get a spare buddy.
...I realized today it was the first time ever to buy a basketball in Japan, and I didn't know there were sizes to basketballs.
I never had hestitations about the size of the ball in the States, as the one with the "NBA" logo was always the one! Looking at the size, I thought Size 7 was the right one and I bought one in Jimbocho for 5000 yen!
And again, I moved my body for about twenty minutes. Rain is heading our way tomorrow and Sunday according to the weather forecast. I think I had enough...

午後３時半ごろに目が覚めて、台風１７号がいまだに予定通りの進路を通っていることを見て一安心した…。
今や一つのルーティンになってしまったようだ。おいらの相棒を隠れ家に連れて行くのが。革で包まれた相棒はギザギザなコンクリートのアウトドアコートにボロボロにされていくんで、スペアの相棒を手に入れることにした。
…日本でバスケットボールを買うのは、実は初めてだということをきょう気づいた。バスケットボールにサイズがあるなんて知らんかった。
アメリカにいたときはどのサイズなんだろうって迷うことなんか無かった。要するに「ＮＢＡ」ってロゴが入ってるヤツなんだから！サイズを見て、たぶんサイズ７が合ってるんだろうと思って、そのサイズのを神保町で５千円で買った！
そしてまた２０分ほど体を動かした。明日と日曜は雨になるらしいと天気予報が言ってた。とりあえず十分やったかな…。

At home, after watching some K-1 matches on TV, I started watching the collection of the serial drama "Densha Otoko" (meaning "Train Man" see http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Densha_Otoko in English, article about the film version see http://search.japantimes.co.jp/print/features/film2005/ff20050615a2.htm).
I've computer-recorded the serial from the first episode up till the last one, on the air yesterday on Fuji TV.
I made it up to the 8th episode tonight. Pretty entertaining! Highly recommended to watch! (it'll probably be out on VHS and DVDs soon, like any TV serials are)
Funny to see the inhabitants of the internet react to an awkward love affair.
And ELO's 1981 "Twilight" fits perfectly to the serial.
家に戻って、Ｋ－１の試合を幾つか見た後、たまっていた連続ドラマの「電車男」を見始めた。
第１話から昨日フジテレビで流れた最終話までコンピューター録画しておいたもの。
写真：とりあえず第８話まで見終えた。結構おもろい！かなり推薦しちゃいます！（他の連続ドラマのように、そのうちビデオやＤＶＤで出るだろうしね）
アニメＧＩＦ：ぎこちない恋物語に反応するネットの住人たちを見るのが楽しい。
そしてＥＬＯの１９８１年の作品「トワイライト」がドラマにぴったりはまってるんだよね。
