So it's springtime and you're all hyped up to start something new, right?
Something that might satisfy my thirst for knowledge and something a little practical. The answer I figured out was learning a new language. But I don't have too much time to spare, so here I am sitting in front of my computer watching a short educational television program I've recorded tonight.
The language I picked is Korean, the closest one we Japanese encounter in everyday life, besides English. See how much news related to South and North Korea we hear everyday.
Cultural exchanges have proceeded so much after co-hosting the 2002 World Cup. We still have collisions about territorial claims and responsibilities of the past War. But without having proper understandings of each other's culture, we'll never get on the same track of debating. Learning the language is the first step, isn't it? So why not start today myself!

To be honest... I tried the same thing last year, but gave up after a couple of months after everything got so busy... Not gonna give up this time!! ... I think...
