タイトル：群発地震が捜査中！

A bunch of quakes irritating the Izu Area, one of the major tourist resorts in the east, right before the Golden Week coming after next week.
Maybe there will be no peace of mind this weekend to the people living in that area and ME... boo...
May the investigation continue... the Izu Area does have early convictions...
群発地震が伊豆地方をいらいらさせている。東の有名な観光地の一つで、来週後にもゴールデンウィークがやってくる中でだ。
今週末は住民たちに気が休まる時間が無いかも知れない。そして俺も…ぶぅ…。
捜査は続けてください…伊豆地方は前科があるから…。

But it's better than a great earthquake hitting Tokyo, as that's what I was covering today, as the government's Central Disaster Management Council announced that the nation will try to curb the damage that will be caused by the disaster with a numerical target: To reduce by half, the number of the dead estimated to be 11,000 at its worst, to 5,600.
It shall not be tolerated if "it ends up a drawing of a rice cake" (meaning "to be nothing but a pie in the sky" or "wine in the bottle does not quench thirst")

But... never will there be time to feel at ease living in this city...

でも東京を大地震が襲うよりマシだ。今日はそのニュースを担当した。政府の中央防災会議がこの災害で想定される被害を軽減することを目指すために数値目標を掲げた：１１０００人と想定される死者数を５６００人へと半減すること。
「絵に描いた餅に終わる」ことになれば、許すことはできない。

でも…この街に住む以上は気が休まることは絶対に有り得ない…。

　英語で似たような諺だと本文に
　書いたようなのがあるみたいだけど、
　「空にあるパイのように空虚な」とか
　「瓶に入ったワインは喉の渇きを癒さない」
　って欧米くさいね。
　日本は「餅」ってとこが本当に良いよね。
　これがアップルパイやワインが入った瓶じゃ
　何となくぴんと来ない。
　餅は餅屋（英語なら"Every man to his trade"）とか
　日本ならではの諺って何となくカワイイ。
