Here we go

OK. Every country has their own proposals! Germany, China, France, the U.S. and more...
I hope the United Nations will be effective enough to coordinate the numerous proposals for early warnings. Early warnings not just for the Indian Ocean, but for every parts of the world, and even for every type of disasters!! Well from the bottom of my heart, I really hope we can live in a better and safer world. All of these glittering suggestions given by the advanced nations are now obligations. Just like fighting hunger and AIDS were. We could have a disaster reduction version of "We are the World". Hope this enthusiasm continues on for years. As Jan Egeland the UN Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs in charge of this conference stated in the opening... "The best way we can honour the dead is to protect the living. "

タイトル：さぁ、始まるぞー

ＯＫ。すべての国が自分の提案を出してきた！ドイツ、中国、フランス、アメリカなどなど…。
と にかく国連が数々の早期警戒システムの提案を調整をできるように、十分機能す ることを期待するね。インド洋のための早期警戒だけでなく、すべての地域の国々、さらにすべての種類の災害のことも言ってるんだから！！　まぁしかし心の 底から我々が安全でより良い世界に暮らせるようになることを期待してる。こうした先進国からのきらびやかな提案は今や責務だ。飢餓やエイズとの戦いと同じように。「ウイ・アー・ザ・ワールド」の防災版があってもいいよね。この熱意が何年も続いてほしいね。ヤン・イゲランド国連人道援助担当事務次長が会議の冒頭で話したように…「生存者たちを守ることが死者へ敬意を表する最善の方法だ。」

　先進国が示した提案は「本当に出来るのかよ！」と思うような
　きらびやかなものが多かった。しかし、それを実行していくことは
　先進国の義務で、責任ある行動が必要となってくる。
　少し皮肉ってglitteringという言葉を使っている。
