A night in my Homeland

The city was crowded, as always... finished the day with Ramen, as always!

After checking out the Hanshin Tigers nailing the Hiroshima Carp on TV, I rode the train to Umeda, the downtown area of Osaka City to meet my friend working in the Osaka-area braodcasting company.
We had some drinks and chat a while about work, especially about how the JR West disaster has grown into more quagmire. There's no compromise in the pursuit of who and what is responsible of the accident, and we had some heated up conversation about it.
Then as we pumped up our alcohol gauge, we were off to our boys' talk, chatting about how we gotta straighten up to get more decorative in our private lives. We both remain unmarried but not too unsatisfied not being stranded like many others of our classmates and colleagues. Still we both know it's much better to spend the holidays with a girl, and we were shouting from our hearts.
"Hey my beloved princess out there! You'll be much happier with me. I'll love you than anyone else! Do you hear me!?"
At nights like these, the familiar city of Osaka seems to be giving me a warm smile as always. "You never change, do you?" Well not at all, just like you've never changed... as lively and flamboyant as ever!

タイガースがカープに圧勝したのを確認してから、電車で大阪の繁華街、梅田に向かった。在阪放送局で働くダチに会うために。
何杯か酒をあおりながら、仕事の話をした。話題はさらに泥沼化の様相を呈しているＪＲ西日本の惨事。事故に誰が責任を持つべきか、何が悪いのか追求の手を緩めることはない。ちょっと熱っぽく語った。
さらにアルコールのメーターが上がってくると、だんだんと男の子の会話に入っていった。私生活をを立て直してもっと華やかにしないといけないなぁって。俺 たちは２人とも独りもんだが、それほど不満な訳でもない。俺たちの同級生や同僚みたいに束縛されることもないし。でも祝日はやっぱし女の子と過ごした方が 良いってこともよく分かってる。また心の中で叫んでた。
「どこかにいる俺の愛しのお姫様！俺と一緒にいる方がもっと幸せになれるって！誰よりも愛したんで！聞こえとんのかぁ！？」
こんな夜は、見慣れた大阪の街も暖かく微笑んでくれてるように見える。いつものように。「おまえ、変われへんなぁ？」まぁそうやね。あんたが変わらへんようにね…。にぎやかで情熱的なところはいつも通りやわ！

　大阪の街を説明するのにはどの形容詞が一番合うんやろか。
　建物が新しくなったとこもあるけど、華やかでにぎやかなとこは
　変わらんね。試合が終わりたての阪神ファンもいっぱいいたし、
　関西弁があちこちで聞こえると安心しますわ。
