I went to Haneda first thing in the morning.
Joined by my elder colleague who proposed this expedition, we hopped onto a plane heading west!
We arrived in Fukuoka at 11:30AM and took the Shinkansen to Kitakyushu City!
And there we were... in Kokura RC!!
A first ever encounter for me!
朝一に羽田へ。
この遠征を提案した先輩と合流して、西に向かう飛行機に飛び乗った！
福岡に午前１１時半に着いて、北九州市に新幹線で！
そしてやってきたのさ…小倉競馬場に！！
初めての対戦じゃ！

The races were moved back a little because of the snow that fell on the tracks from last night (which we knew nothing of).
A small and a "at home" kinda race course, feeling like you're looking at the horses right in front of you!
...Unfortunately I failed to get any paybacks today.
But I still have another chance for revenge tomorrow!
I hope it wouldn't be a freezing day like today...
昨夜からコースに降った雪のために（俺たちはそんなこと知らんかったけど）少しだけレースの時間が繰り下げられた。
小さくて「アットホーム」な感じの競馬場。何か目の前でお馬ちゃんたちを見てるような感じ！
…残念ながらきょうは払い戻しが無かった。
でも明日まだリベンジをするチャンスがある！
今日みたいに凍えるような日にならなきゃいいんだけど…。
Lord Majesty, a four year old horse me and my friends hold a share of, appeared in the main race Kokura Daishoten (Grade III)... but finished a disappointing 11th place...
Next time Majesty, OK?

Back to Fukuoka City, we met our elder collegue working at the Fukuoka Broadcasting Station and we were treated to a delicious blowfish dinner!
completely uncomparable to the cultured ones we eat in the east!
