Sixty years ago...

A special day for our country.

The atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima sixty years ago today killing hundreds of thousands of civilians, and giving sufferings to much more.
Many have mourned today for the dead and wished peace be an eternity. The U.S. and other key nations have claimed their success in winning the large war with this mass killer bomb, but sadly they also can blame themselves for bringing in the nuclear theory to our world that still dooms us today, as threats from countries like North Korea and other south Asian and Middle East countries have been great political tools for claiming power.

Ever since I could remember, what I was taught about nuclear bombs in the States was that the Soviets will be landing one on us, and not about the tragedy of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as I was growing up in the Cold War era. There aren't any more Soviets, but more terrorists around willing to get a hand on deadly nuclear weapons.

We surely should pray more for peace to continue...

我が国にとって特別な日だ。

６０年前のきょう、原子爆弾が広島に投下され、何万人もの民間人が殺され、さらに多くの人を苦しませた。
きょうたくさんの人たちが犠牲者に黙祷を捧げ、平和が永遠となることを祈った。アメリカや他の主要国がこの大量殺人的な爆弾で大戦を勝ち取ったと主張する が、悲しいことにいまだに世界に影を落とす原子力の原理を世界に持ち込んでしまった張本人となったことも考えるべきだ。北朝鮮や南アジア、それに中東の国 々が脅迫を政治的な武器にして支配力を主張しているだけに。

物心がついて以来、アメリカで核爆弾について教わったことは、ソビエト勢が投下してくるということで、広島と長崎の悲劇のことでは無かった。冷戦時代で育っただけにね。もうソビエト勢もこの世にいない。でも殺人的な核兵器を手に入れようとするテロリストは増えた。

確かに平和が続くことを祈るしかないね…。

広島にとって特別な日だ。小泉氏は我が国のリーダーとして最後の登場になるのかも知れないね。

　いまはatomicよりnuclear（核）を良く使う。
　当時とは比べものにならない核兵器が
　さらに大量の人を殺すことができる。
　そんなものがテロリストの手に入ったら…。
　いや、もう持ってるのかも知れない…。
　昔、アメリカでは日常的に見た
　核の時計ってどこに行ったのかなぁ。
