We were all discussing about PM Koizumi's coming fate on Monday to be forced to dissolve the Diet. With an imminent general election, many reporters will have to give up their summer vacations. Our eyes will all be poured on Monday's live broadcast of the vote at the Upper House for the JP reform bill.
I'm no fan of Mr. Koizumi, though I could value him a little bit, risking his political life never giving way to his opponents about his stand on the Postal reform controversy.
With a general election after all the confusion, it could easily shuffle the power balance between the LDP and DPJ. Honestly, I'd like to see a change of regime between the two parties like we oftenly do in the United States. (By the way, the DPJ also could easily break up after they take office because of all the different interests among the members...)
But MORE honestly, I think we don't have to go through another election process in the lower house as we just had one a year and nine months ago... Waste of labor and time. Waste of MONEY, millions of our taxes. Mr. Koizumi just could resign the entire Cabinet along with himself... though I will unlikely be his decision...
What his political decision may be, it could make HISTORY.
"Genghis Khan", a Mongolian mutton barbecue I enjoyed with my colleagues tonight!
Eating lamb meat is becoming more popular nowadays... originally popular in Hokkaido but not in the Kanto nor Kansai area.
It kinda reminds me of the Teishokuya (= a set meal diner) in West Honmachi of Osaka City where I ate "Genghis Khan Teishoku (= set meal)" all the when I was preparing for college attending a nearby crammer school for kids returning to Japan from abroad.
国会の解散に追い込まれることになりそうな月曜日の小泉首相の来るべき運命についてみんなで話し合っていた。総選挙近しとなれば、多くの記者が夏休みをあきらめなければならなくなる。みんなの目は月曜日の郵政改革法案の参院での採決の生中継に注がれるになる。
小泉氏のファンではないが、少しだけ評価はしてあげられる。政治生命を賭けて、郵政改革の論争で反対者に持論を絶対に譲らないところは。
す べての混乱の後に行われる総選挙で、自民党と民主党のパワーバランスはあっさりごちゃ混ぜにすることできる。正直言うと、２つの政党の間で政権の交代が あるのを見てみたいと思っている。アメリカでいつも見るように。（もっとも、民主党も政権を取ったら、簡単にバラバラになりうる。党員同士、あれだけたく さんの利害があるとね…）
でももっと正直に思うのは、衆院の選挙手続きを今一度やり通すのはどうかなということ。たったの１年９か月前にやったば かりなんだから…。労力と時間の無 駄。金の無駄。たくさんの税金が。小泉氏は自分と一緒に内閣の総辞職をすればいいじゃないか…。それが彼の判断にならんとは思うが…。
彼の政治判断がどうなろうが、歴史を作ることになりそうだ。

ラム肉を食べることは、ここ最近、人気になってきている…。北海道ではもともとよく食べられていたが、関東や関西ではそうでも無かった。
何か大阪市の西本町の定食屋で大学時代によく食べた「ジンギスカン定食」を思い出した。大学受験を目指してその近くにあった帰国子女のための予備校に通っていた頃の話だ。

もう避けられないのだろうか。
首相に解散権は与えられるのだが、
本来の解散権はこうした自体のために
与えられるべきものではないと思うが。
首相の個人的人気で支えられてきた与党。
やはり日本の政治制度自体がおかしいのだろうか。
大統領制が合うのかどうかは未知数だが…。
