End of a three day weekend

it was well over 30 degrees at 6 o'clock in the evening at Shinjuku. I really hate the rainy season, but it was a good season this year as it was cool without rain... hot!! Posted by Picasa

Today the JMA announced the end of the rainy season (tsuyu season) for the Kanto area and many other areas in the west and as expected, the day was hot and sweaty. I wish I was at a beach somewhere as it was Ocean Day (umi no hi) today.

It would have been lethal to go out in the afternoon, so I decided to swarm around with a bunch of shoppers in Shinjuku in the evening.

...Then I had a call from my elder colleague at around 6:30 as I was instructed to go to Shinagawa and have a small farewell party at his brand new apartment.

...Had too much Imo Jochu (shochu made from imo=distilled clear liquor using sweet potatoes as the main ingredient) and I'm not sure if I can wake up tomorrow...
Good night... Zzz...

(today's words)
ume?Japanese Apricot?
 Japanese style rainy season
