Drinking all night with my colleagues entering the comany at the same year.
"Douki" as we call colleagues entering the social world at the same period of time, is a Japanese term I can't find the English word for, but it's just like classmates entering school in the same year.
Having fun with my "douki"s is something special as we all have been stuck in our company for a decade and doing magnificient jobs at each of our specialized fields. Being friendly and at times arguing and disputing about what we should do to make things better is a valuable way of spending time as these guys are the few ones I can trust in this jungle city.
But too much alcohol as always, having drinks for 7 hours and went home at around four in the morning. Well what a pleasant night it was!
Woke up way after noon, and went to work at eight, yes eight at night! What a short Saturday it was...

夜通し会社に一緒の年に入った同僚たちと飲んだ。
同じ時期に社会人になる同僚を「同期」と呼ぶが、この日本語と同じ意味の英語は無い。学校に一緒に入学する同級生みたいなもんだけどね。
同 期と一緒に楽しいことをやるのは格別だ。一緒にこの会社にもう10年もいて、それぞれの専門分野で素晴らしい仕事をやってるしね。仲良くしたり、時には 言い争ったり、議論したりするのは、これからより良いところにしていくのにある程度必要だ。彼らがこの密林の街でやっていくのに信用できる数少ない奴ら だ。
でも、またいつものようにアルコールを取りすぎた。７時間飲み倒して、朝４時ごろに帰宅した。まぁすごく楽しかったけどね！
正午をとっく過ぎて目が覚 めて、８時頃に仕事に行った。そう。夜の８時だよ！短い土曜日だったわ…。

「同 期」という言葉は英語には存在していないようだ。西洋の社会では、 会社で同期だというのは、あんまり意味がないことなんだろうか。悩みを話し合ったり、ライバルだったり、同期だからこそ特別な感情を持つことは自然なこと だと思える日本人社会も捨てたもんじゃないと思うんだけど…。
There's no equivalent English term for "douki" Maybe being a "douki" doesn't mean anything in the Western society. Sharing our hardships and being rivals, it's not bad living in Japan where it's natural to have special feeling with "douki"s...
