In my organization, Tokyo makes the calls. As I'm unable to go out and cover the dramatic issues developing, they receive all the agencies' articles which are sadly too much for me to say that we have better information. I'm sure the agencies have tons of staff to look at a bunch of TV screens and websites where I only have a couple. Tokyo just calls me and tells me I should write what the agencies have reported and I have no way of fighting back. Tokyo also finds a strategy to talk directly to my colleague from Tokyo about possible live coverages and leave me out of the discussions. I'm sure there trying to be polite by not making me busy!
Well, I don't want to be the Leader that makes all the calls, so I'm not going to complain... but you know... it really makes me look like nothing!
PS
Something that cheers me up...

lunch made by my wife!
I have to be strong...
