Kids with endless curiosity...

Today, three fifth graders came to my office to study how we make the news here. It was nice to see the smiles of the kids seeing some things for the first time and reacting like how kids usually do when they make an interesting encounter. I was thinking when did I lose this enthusiasm which I still had some years ago. Reacting like the kids did today is how I was motivating myself working as a correspondent as I get to see many things for the first time in a short time doing this job. I'm sure the pressures and burdens of many other things are overriding the passion and that's really a bad sign...
I also know that if these kids would return to Japan, their innocence will shrink as they face the pressures from entrance exams and rigid competitions. In my mind I was telling them "don't lose your curiosity" and that's what I was trying to say to myself...

Don't lose your buring curiosity or you will die from boredom!!

like this kitty always looking for something!

our meal... some spaghetti!

fighting with the satellite in the evening... it's hard to adjust the coordinates!
