Telling fortunes...

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the end of the war between Iran and Iraq. There were no ceremonies like we have in Japan on August 15th as Iranians recognize the war as an invasion by a tyrant and call it the "Holy Defense".

It turned out to be another normal day for me though I went to the bank for the first time and then to a sight near the telecom tower in the afternoon.

near the tower...

I haven't done any reporting for a while and I'm a little worried that I'll get called down from my bosses in Tokyo... scary... scary...

My lunch...

a fillet chicken sandwich... filled with parsley!

And I had...

Turkish coffee!

After you finish drinking...

you turn the cup upside down...

and you look into the cup and look closely at the pattern of the leftover paste...
which is done as fortune telling!
they say there's a beautiful lady looking sideways...
you can see an eye in the center and she's looking to the left!
they say it means I'm going to get married soon!

In the nighttime, there were breaking news coming in about a big plane crash in Spain. I think I will be taking more flights than before, and I'm always scared to be involved in a crash... but maybe it will be more an issue for me to go and cover a story about one... I surely hope there wouldn't be any in this country!
