Is this "Labor"?

It's May Day, but I have to convey that I'm just a hardworker and I have to confess I can't back any ideas of "jitan" (="cutting worktime"). I work overtime not because my boss tells me to, but because some of my work is not substitutable as accumulating creativity and expertise is achievable only by doing things myself. It might be something close to what artists do. Can you tell an artist who's working on his project for days without sleep that he should cut his "worktime"? I think in that sense, though I'm not an artist, and I'm a member of an organization that pays me salaries, the word "labor" does not simply fit in my area of work, and all I can say is May Day ain't for me!
As I worked just before 4AM, it was quite a pain to get to my office by 10AM. It was a day of editing about my report about a Baghdad organization, but I also had to get ready for my trip to India.
I'm surely not going to die as it's not even close to my hardship last year when I was covering the Horiemon trial. But it was quite tough today because I missed lunch and dinner!

all I had were cups of coffee! I think I had 6 or 7 cups of them!
