On my way home taking the subway, I was reading an article from Newsweek referring to a critical event that will be on the air tomorrow.

Why can only an "outsider" report on the other side of the story. We certainly are heading a dangerous way if we can't display our crucial function to keep an eye on politics. Yes, against the right wing and the "hereditary" politics. (No, I'm not talking about Mr. Bush...)
We probably will see how helpless we are at the next Upper House eleciton. Through the eyes of the aforesaid "outsider", even Mr. Koizumi is the "good guy" reforming with pain. We Japanese are so innocent... We just hail to the maintaining of "the status quo". And we're all deceived... in reality we're regressing...

One out of three would be terrific... Hey! We're missing a whole lot here. And it's our bad habit that we don't blame those chosen ones out there and just keep it to ourselves...

頭が痛い…傍聴席からいつも見るだけの年輩の方々と貴重な飲み会で飲みすぎたからではない。
家に向かう地下鉄の中で、あす行われる重要なイベントについて取り上げていたニューズウィークの記事を読んでいた。

話の裏側をなぜアウトサイダーしか報告できないのだろうか。政治を監視するという重要な機能を発揮できなければ我々はかなり危ないに向かっているに違いない。そう。右翼と世襲制の政治に対してだ（いや、ブッシュさんのことを言ってるんじゃなくて…）
次の参院選でどれだけ我々が無力なのか見ることになるだろう。上述の「アウトサイダー」の目を通してでさえ、小泉さんは痛みを伴って改革をした「良いヤツ」だそうな。我々日本人って本当にお人好しだ…。現状維持を歓迎するだけだ。そしてみんな騙されていく…実際は後退してるのに…。

我々はより安全な世界に住んでいるだろうか？
ここ数日幸せだったと感じたことはある？
