Time to relax after a week of stagnation... phew... But today, there were news reports about a quake near the ancient city of Yogyakarta, Indonesia coming in... hmm... work again!?
This time I wasn't called on to get myself to work, but I stopped by my office in the evening to check out if there's anything I can do... There wasn't and I left my office at around 10PM, but meanwhile the death toll topped 3000 and my sorrow that I can't do anything to help the sufferers still haunts me. Why do so many people die so instantly all over the world?
Oh well, all I can do now is just to relax and live my life for all I am worth! And for me, it may well be to enjoy tomorrow's greatest horse race in Japan!
足踏みの一週間のあと一息つく時間だ…ふー…でもきょう、インドネシアの古都ジョグジャカルタの近くで地震があったという情報が入ってきた…うーん…また仕事か！？
今回は職場に出るようには言われなかったが、夕方に職場に寄って何か出来る物はないか見に行った…何も無かったんで夜１０時頃に職場を出たが、その間に死者数は３０００を超えて何も被災者を支援することが出来ない自分が悲しくって、自分に暗い影を当てる。世界中でなぜこんなにあっさり人が死ぬんだろうか？
まぁ、俺が出来ることと言えばとにかくリラックスして自分の命を生き抜くだけだ！そして俺にとって、それは明日の日本最高のレースを楽しむことなのかも知れない。

The odds for the win has changed drastically and Meisho Samson is now the most favorite at 4.7 to 1. Fusaichi Junk follows at 5.7 to 1, and Admire Moon next at 6.1 to 1. Admire Main, Dream Passport and Maruka Schenk are the rest under the odds 10 to 1.
単勝オッズはがらりと変わってメイショウサムソンが４．７倍で一番人気になった。フサイチジャンクが５．７倍、アドマイヤムーンが６．１倍と続く。十倍以下はあとアドマイヤメイン、ドリームパスポートとマルカシェンク。
Another concern is the weather. Strong rain will fall till early morning, but there could be more than five hours to drain the water out... the turf can recover to a good condition from an yielding condition. Meisho Samson has earned his support because of this rain, as many are just saying colts in the front will be advantageous. But if the turf recovers... colts from behind will regain their sharpness!
もう一つ気になるのは天気。早朝まで強い雨が降るが、水がはけるのに５時間以上はありそうだ…芝は重から稍重に回復するだろう。メイショウサムソンは雨のおかげでこの支持率になった。多くが先行勢にとって有利だと言っているからだ。でももし芝が回復したら…後ろから来る馬がその切れ味を取り戻す！
It's good to see Admire Moon has risen up to the third favorite, very closely evaluated to the first and second favorites... Moon does have a chance! And let's not forget that the four time Derby jockey Yutaka Take is on his back!
Take is superb at the Derby this recent years. Not to mention last year's perfect triple crown horse Deep Impact, Take has won two after losing at the Satsuki Sho. The two Derby horses he rode, Special Week and Admire Vega finished 3rd and 6th respectively in the Satsuki Sho. The other Derby horse Tanino Gimlet that finished 3rd in the Satsuki Sho was ridden by a different jockey because Take was injured (Gimlet was 3rd in the NHK Mile Cup with Take though). Revenge is the key word for this living legend jockey. Air Shakur was the only horse that ran worse than the Satsuki Sho (and he was the winner at the Satsuki Sho and only the runner-up at the Derby! Is it that bad?).
アドマイヤムーンが３番人気になったのは良かった。１、２番人気に小差の評価だ…ムーンにもチャンスがあるね！そして４回ダービーを勝っている武豊が鞍上だということを忘れちゃ行けないね！
ここ最近、武はダービーで実にすごい。去年のパーフェクトな３冠馬ディープインパクトのことは置いといて、武は皐月賞で負けた後、２つ勝っている。彼が乗った２頭のダービー馬のスペシャルウィークとアドマイヤベガはそれぞれ皐月賞で３着と６着に終わった。もう１つのダービー馬のタニノギムレットは皐月賞で３着だったが、武が怪我をしていたために別のジョッキーが乗った（ギムレットは武が乗ってＮＨＫマイルカップでは３着だったが）。リベンジがこの生ける伝説ジョッキーのキーワードだ。エアシャカールが唯一皐月賞より悪い成績に終わった。（皐月賞で優勝し、ダービーでは２着！それってそんなに悪いこと？）
So I should buy my tickets heavily from Fusaichi Junk I concluded yesterday as the expected winner and Admire Moon and jockey Yutaka Take ready for their revenge if the weather allows Moon to regain his power.
The candidate horses for the 2nd and 3rd position should come from the horses I had picked from the 9 horses on Monday... But in the 3rd position I also think horses with a finish lower than 7th in the Satsuki Sho or a winner of any race has a chance... so my conclusion...
ということで馬券は昨日勝ち馬になると予想されると結論づけたフサイチジャンクと天気がムーンが力を取り戻すことを許すのならリベンジの準備が出来たアドマイヤムーンとジョッキー武豊から厚く買うことにしよう。
２着と３着の候補は月曜日に選んでいた９頭から出るだろう…でも３着には皐月賞で７着以下かどんなレースにも勝った馬にチャンスがあるだろう…ということで結論は…
