A JAXA press conference today by three new astronauts.
きょうは3人の新しい宇宙飛行士によるJAXAの記者会見。

3 Japanese astronauts voice hope of staying at ISS
TOKYO, March 8 KYODO
Three Japanese astronauts who have been certified as U.S. space shuttle mission specialists spoke of their hopes and expectations in Tokyo on Wednesday about staying at the International Space Station.
Satoshi Furukawa, 41, Akihiko Hoshide, 37, and Naoko Yamazaki, 35, hope to stay in the Japanese space laboratory compartment Kibo that is to be added to the ISS and conduct experiments there.

米スペースシャトルの搭乗運用技術者の資格を取得した3人の日本人宇宙飛行士が水曜日に東京で、国際宇宙ステーション滞在に向けた期待や抱負を語った。
古川聡さん(41)、星出彰彦さん(37)、山崎直子さん(35)はISSに加えられる予定の日本の宇宙実験棟きぼうに滞在して実験を行えるよう期待を語った。

Her husband quit his job and moved to America with their daughter, supporting her by taking care of housework, to make this dream come true... WOW!
彼女の夫は仕事を辞めて、娘と一緒にアメリカに移住して、家事をやって彼女の夢が実現するよう支えたそうだ…すごいね!

And timely enough, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare today announced its report about the status of young adult's lives concerning marriage and child birth.

MHLW's report says a survey to the couples that had hoped to have children said that a child was born to 30% of couples which the husband had participated more in housekeeping compared to 20% of couples that the husband had less participation...
そしてタイミング良く厚生労働省がきょう成年者の結婚や出産に関する実態調査を公表した。(日本語でURL
厚労省の調査によると子供が欲しかったとしたカップルで、夫の家事をする時間が増えたカップルの30%に子供ができたのに比べて、夫の家事をする時間が減ったカップルは20%に留まった…。
