End of a long journey

タイトル：長い旅の終わり

Thank God it was another peaceful day, as the most impressive news for me today was about a monkey I was all worried about these few weeks.

After a monkey was seen in Shibuya Ward this spring, it was spotted at Shinjuku, Bunkyo, Kita, Arakawa, Taito, Sumida, Adachi, and Edogawa Wards. Nobody knows if the monkey is the same one, but I'd like to believe this travelling fellow had the guts to cross the bridges to do the sights of Tokyo.

The funny fellow was finally caught today in Edogawa Ward without crossing the Arakawa River, held captive in a cage set by the authorities.

I don't know if he had fun, but I bet it was some experience to see all the TV crews and photographers doing the paparazzi biz.

...Hope the monkey will stay safe whatever journey awaits it.

神様に思わず感謝してしまうぐらい平和な一日だった。そんな中、今日、自分にとって一番印象的なニュースは、ここ数週間ずっと気がかりだった猿のことだった。

今年の春に一匹の猿が渋谷区で発見されてから、新宿、文京、北、荒川、台東、墨田、足立、江戸川で相次いで見られていた。同じ猿なのか誰も分からないけど、この旅好きな野郎が東京見物のために次々と橋を渡ってくる根性があったと信じたい。

この愉快なヤツがきょうとうとう荒川を越えられずに江戸川区で捕まった。行政側が設置したかごに捕らえられて。（毎日新聞の日本語の記事ＵＲＬ）

楽しかったかどうか分からないけど、あれだけ多くのテレビやカメラマンがパパラッチをやるのを見られるような経験はなかなかな無いもんだったと思うよ。

…どんな旅が待ってようとも、けがせずにいて欲しいね。
