Learning how hard it is to win...

Raise Your Dream in the race course and the paddock (the upper two pics). There were news today of a humongous payback of 10,000,000 yen to each 100 yen bet on the turf vision (lower left pic). Impression ready for the race (lower right pic) Posted by Hello

Decided to go on a expedition to Chiba. Yes it was just nice and warm to enjoy a day in Nakayama Race Course.
Wanted to be there because there were two horses to cheer for. The first was in the ninth race, Yamabuki-Sho. The No.5 horse, Raise Your Dream, the three year colt I was keeping an eye on was supposed to win today in order to advance to the trial race of the Japan Derby. But it was all spoiled up with its loss by a narrow margin. Now, entering in the Derby is probably hopeless...
Another three year old colt I was paying attention to was Impression, the No. 9 horse racing in the main race, the New Zealand Trophy (Grade 2, trial race of NHK Mile Cup). This horse gave up racing in the classic races leading to the Derby and decided to race through mile long races. The horse finished third... Uhhh... At least today's race gave the horse a priority to enter the NHK Mile Cup, a Grade 1 race in May.
In Hanshin there were some horses too I was cheering for. One was Tosho Powers, a three year old colt, the son of Sister Tosho, a winner of the Ouka Sho 14 years ago. The undefeated Sister Tosho won this three year old filly grade 1 race right in front of me and my friends at the Kyoto Race Course. One of the races I can never forget. But its son lost today in the Azarea-Sho in today's ninth race, finishing third...
Another horse, a five year old That's The Plenty lost in the Osaka Humburg Cup, the main race of Hanshin. This horse is the Kikka Sho (the last classic race for the three year olds) winner two years ago. This horse has given me many winning tickets. The loss today will not stop him from advancing to the Emperor's Cup (Grade 1) in the first of March and I hope his physical condition recovers till the race that counts!
