not quite springlike yet in Tokyo University
OK. I plan to quit my job and go to college again! Goodbye!
...well it's April fools and no one got tricked calling my office and giving out the message.
But it was true there were some change in my feelings toward my job and also my life.
It was also not a lie I was calling from Tokyo University, the most authoritative school as the top university in this country. Well I'd rather attend Kyoto University, perhaps the most liberal of the top universities, which is also where I've graduated ten years ago.
After graduating from this immaculate school, it was working time!
There was the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in January of that year and the deadly sarin gas terror attack by the religious cult, Aum in March. That was when I've become a member of the media, and 10 years ago today my career started, as the training period started.
Today, I start my eleventh year with this job. Nothing has changed in these couple of years, but in my mind, I'm entering the second stage of my career. Unlike before, I can think more of with who and of what I'd like to go on, as ten years of experience has finally given me some confidence in me. But I always know I'm a "TAIKI BANSEI" type (meaning a "late - developer") and I can shed more skins off myself and learn a lot more each day of my life! So it's just like starting over for me!
