A NEW LIGHT in Space Development

Liftoff! Posted by Hello
The launch was successful!! Many were wondering if the Japanese H-2A rocket will make it after its sixth rocket failed in late 2003.
The seventh one this time had a mission to put the Multifunctional Transport Sattelite (MT-SAT), which inludes a critical function of weather observation. It is supposed to replace the Himawari (=meaning Sunflower) No. 5, the long dead weather observation satellite which ceased functioning after a rocket failed to put the new one in orbit years ago.
The H-2A was launched at the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture of Kyushu.

Hope kids who saw the news bear up new interests in space one again. Not just from Star Wars movies, kids need dreams which seem achievable. Something which will keep life going, more dreamful than aiming to become a public official or a salary man. I'm not saying these jobs suck and it doesn't matter if they change their goals, but at least the younger should start a life full of dreams and space is a great place to start!!
