I was very sleepy (of course not from work, but because of the great games played far away from Japan), but I went out drinking with a younger colleague talking about this coming one year.

とっても眠かった（勿論仕事のせいじゃなくて、日本から遠く離れたところで戦われている素晴らしい数々の試合のために）けど、後輩と飲みに出て、これからの１年について話していた。

The official announcement is yet to come but from the week after next, I will be in charged of a different field (to be accurate, three weeks later, because I'll go on vacation to LA and the Bay Area for a week!), departing from my long pursuance of disaster reporting.
Will I be able to build up the enthusiasm again!?
Well... after I take a week off, I'll try to be as fit as I can for my new reporting field!!

You might have seen it on the "Kyodai Keijiban", but I just wanted to tell you that we're going to have a gathering for Tsuji and Rumi on 23 July, Sunday. If I'm not mistaken, you might be out in the West Coast. Anyway, let me know if you can come or not.

I'll be back from the West Coast by Tuesday the 18th, so I think I can get my ass to the party! I have to go to overnight duty on the 22nd, so if I get enough sleep, I think I can make it!!
My assignment... it's still unofficial, but I'm not going to be anywhere near the subjects you've written... I'll be in charged of something I'd been doing at my last two years at Kobe!
