I concentrated everything today on the biggest event of the day!!
きょうはこの日一番のイベントに全力で集中！！


but I didn't feel good when I saw the forecast...
予報を見たとき、いやな感じがしたけど…

getting ready! starting with the Tigers shop at Keio Department!
準備！京王デパートのタイガースショップから手始めに！

taking the JR Keiyou Line, the Kaihin Makuhari station was already packed with fans!
ＪＲ京葉線に乗って。海浜幕張駅はすでにファンでいっぱい！

...and slowly walking with a bunch of people... we arrived at the Chiba Marine Stadium!
…ゆっくり大量の人たちと歩いて…千葉マリンスタジアムに到着！

The game was quite exciting until the fifth inning as the Tigers tied it with Fujimoto's sacrifice fly...
試合は藤本の犠牲フライでタイガースが追いついた５回までは、結構盛り上がった…

flying balloons for the seventh inning stretch... BUT...
７回には風船を飛ばした…でも…

we all thought it was vapor from the balloons... we even thought it was smoke from an outbreak of fire outside... (thinking we might have to go to work!)
みんな風船から出てる水蒸気かと思ってた…外で火事が発生してその煙かとも思ったぐらいだ…（ひょっとしたら仕事かもと思いながら！）

it wasn't... the game was suspended, waiting for the dense fog to go away...
でも違った…試合は中断、濃霧がどこかへ行くのを待ちながら…

some Tigers' fan near our seats in the second floor started "the Wave"! it was very amusing to find out how everyone knows how to have fun!
２階席の近くにいるタイガースファンたちが「ウェーブ」を始めた！楽しむ方法をみんな知っているんだ。とっても感心した。

after the Wave went around ten times... the game was called...
ウェーブが１０週したあと…試合はコールドになった…

and the game finished with the Marines ripping the Tigers 10-1...
そして試合はマリーンズが１０対１でタイガースにボロ勝ちして終わった…

It was a very disappointing game. Ace pitcher Kei Igawa betrayed the fans again... Brother Kanemoto and the RBI King Imaoka were brakes today with no hits...
Yes it was very disappointing... BUT it was very delightful to see how the fans never gave up trying to have fun at the ballpark. Especially the Tigers' fans... we never stopped cheering while the fog suspended the game... EVEN THOUGH we were losing by 9 runs! The Wave went on and on driving in the Marines' fans in to the excitement.
And yes I've learned something...
I should go to the ballparks more often!
Whether it's baseball, soccer, football, or basketball!!

すごいがっかりとさせられた試合だった。エースの井川慶はファンをまたもや裏切った…。アニキ金本と打点王今岡もきょうはノーヒットでブレーキだった…。
そう、とってもがっかりした…。でも球場でファンたちが最後まで楽しもうという姿勢を見るのは、すごく愉快だった。特にタイガースファンは…霧が試合を中 断しても応援するのを止めなかった…。９点差で負けてるのにね！ウェーブは何度も何度も続いて、マリーンズファンも興奮の渦に巻き込んだ。
そう、何か学ばせてもらったね…。
もっと球場に行かないとね！
野球だろうが、サッカーだろうが、アメフトだろうが、バスケだろうが！！

　みんな地元側だから、

　７回の合間に行われるだけ。
　でも、英語で他に表現が
　思いつかないしね！
